The United Kingdom Inhaler Group (UKIG) are committed to protecting the privacy of those who share their data with us. Please read this statement which explains how we collect, manage, use and protect your personal data.


Whenever you interact with UKIG, we may collect personal data from you, for example, when you visit our website or make an enquiry. The information we hold may include your name, postal or email addresses and your phone number. Your personal information is stored and protected on secured servers. We will keep personal information for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.


UKIG make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on our website is correct and current. Please note that the content is subject to change from time to time.


We use analytics to measure the performance of the website, the traffic on the site and how people more around the site. The information is all anonymised and cannot be matched against your identify unless specifically stated. 


When you access our website some cookies maybe saved to your computer to support your visit and our analytics. You can turn off your cookies however, you need to be aware that the site may not function fully if this is done.


If you contact us with an enquiry then we will keep a record of your details so that we can follow up with suitable/relevant information. Your details will not be used for any other purpose unless you have specifically consented to this.


As with all organisations/professional bodies, we ensure that our activities comply with the law. Therefore, we may need to share or use your personal information if we are required to do so by law, for example, in response to a warrant or a court order. Your Rights 

You have the right to request access to your personal information and a copy of all the information related to you that we are processing. For your request to be actioned, please notify us formally via email to g.hall@educationforhealth.org (Project Manager). We will provide this information one month after your request. If your information is incorrect, out of date or if there is no longer justification for us to hold it, you can ask for it to be updated, removed or blocked from our use.


Information about us


UKIG represents 11 member groups including charities and professional bodies whose purpose is to promote the correct use of inhaled therapies to improve the outcomes of people with respiratory conditions. 


UKIG will make changes to our Privacy Statement, as required. The most recent version will always be available on our website.
The policy will be reviewed in April 2020.
